Research Project Feature

A professional public feature built around one funded research project.

The service documents what the project set out to do, what the research team actually did, what was learned or accomplished, and why the work matters to audiences beyond the immediate specialty.

The deliverable

One article, published and ready to share.

The product is deliberately narrow so that researchers know exactly what they are purchasing.

Research Project Feature
  • Approx. 1,000–1,500 word feature article
  • ResearchAdministration.org publication page
  • Shareable PDF version
  • Approved project and researcher links
  • Approved images when available
  • Funding acknowledgment where appropriate
  • Researcher review before publication
  • One consolidated revision round
What can be featured

The story can come from more than a paper.

A project feature is useful whenever a research team has real work, results, or activity that should be documented in a format other people can understand.

PUBLICATION

Research findings

A paper, report, dataset, or completed analysis with a clear set of findings or implications.

PROJECT

A funded initiative

A research program, field effort, intervention, prototype, partnership, or community-facing project.

MILESTONE

A significant moment

An event, completed phase, launch, award milestone, demonstration, convening, or other substantive project activity.

What you provide

Enough source material to represent the project accurately.

Useful materials can include a project or lab web page, paper, report, abstract, grant-approved project description, presentation, event materials, photographs, institutional news release, publication link, final report, or other researcher-approved sources.

You do not need to assemble a perfect packet. A project link and short description are enough for the initial inquiry. We confirm what is needed before the feature begins.

What we develop

The feature is written for an informed non-specialist. Depending on the project, the article may cover the problem being addressed, the project background, the funded activity, methods or implementation, major findings or milestones, limitations, collaborators, funding acknowledgment, and what comes next.

What we do not do

  • We do not create new research findings.
  • We do not write undisclosed academic manuscripts.
  • We do not turn associations into causal claims or remove meaningful limitations for promotional effect.
  • We do not represent commissioned features as independent journalism or peer review.
  • We do not guarantee media attention, citations, funding, or other outcomes.
Process

From project materials to approved publication.

Fit review

You send a project description or link. We confirm that the project has enough material and fits the founding offer.

Source review

We organize the approved facts, findings, project activities, limitations, names, links, and funding information.

Feature draft

We write the article and prepare the public project page and PDF presentation.

Researcher approval

Your team reviews the draft, sends one consolidated revision, and approves the final publication.

Founding Project Rate

$495 for one defined project.

Standard turnaround is approximately seven business days after complete materials are received. More complex projects are scoped separately before payment.

Sponsored-project note: Whether the expense may be charged to a particular award depends on the applicable sponsor requirements, award terms, institutional policy, budget, and allocability to the project. ResearchAdministration.org does not determine grant allowability on behalf of a university.
